When Mark moved the canoe to put it in the car for our camping trip, he found another rabbit nest. This one was filled with water and had two dead rabbits and two barely alive rabbits. Needless to say we are now trying to nurse two baby rabbits back to health. We'll see how it goes because baby rabbits are difficult to keep alive if they haven't been weaned yet.

Sydnie enjoying her breakfast. If you can't tell from the pictures, it was rainy and cool.

Despite the cool weather, it was beautiful.

The girls love canoeing. Maddie is actually getting really good at using her little paddle (which is good since I did no paddling and just got to relax in the canoe).

Here are the bird pictures:

Pileated Woodpecker

Yellow-bellied Sapsucker

Great Blue Herons
This pileated woodpecker was fascinating to watch. His pecking echoed all over the campground:

I truly am jealous. Wish I could have been there to canoe with the girls and see the beautiful sights.
Maddie, You are a nice guy for taking care of the rabbits. We have been adopted by several loose rabbits. Maybe we can catch them when you come visit us. In the last picture it looked like Mark sitting in the tree.
Your little girls are so cute :) I like the picture of Sydnie with her rubber boots lol :)
I love Sydnie's boots, they are so cute! Do they come in my size? I need a good pair of galoshes! Sydnie is growing up so fast, Maddie is too! I am excited you are going to bring the girls and visit, I just wish Mark was coming to so we could all get together! Don't worry though, Kris, will still play some super fun games!
