Maddie Starts Kindergarten

Maddie started kindergarten today. She was a little nervous, but hopped on the bus and waved goodbye with a big smile.

Maddie wouldn't open her eyes because it was too bright.

I only cried a little when she left. Sydnie keeps wondering when Maddie will come home.
We took this picture at the school last week since Maddie rides the bus and I wouldn't be at the school the first day.
We still have bunnies in the back yard all the time.

Witnie rolls over now.

Triathlon

Mark did the Clear Lake International Triathlon this morning. He ended up 6th place in his age division and did great for his debut triathlon.

This is a game like Where's Waldo only its called Where's Mark (hint: he is wearing a green swim cap and blue goggles).

I actually did manage to find him in a zoom in of the picture. The swimming portion of the race was 750 m.
The biking portion of the race was 18 miles. Mark should get the award for the oldest and saddest looking bike, but he did really well on it (someone just gave it to him because they got a new one).
Mark got the highest ranking in the run with a 2nd in his division.
Here are the results. They were too long to fit in one picture.

Maddie's birthday and more

I was going to just make cupcakes with sprinkles, but Maddie and Mark kept deciding on more and more.
Thanks!
Making corn and pizza for Maddie's chosen birthday dinner.
Witnie's first train ride.

This picture is for Sarah. She got a kick out of these signs.
Here is Mark's thumb after 8 days of healing. I wouldn't take a picture of it before this.

Maddie's Birthday Party

Like I said before, they must be related.

Busy, Busy

Beach Bums

Jess and Sarah boogey boarding

Hmm.....I wonder if these two are related?

Maddie loves getting dirty.
Camping near Austin
Just chillin'
Alix wanted to wear Maddie's undies.
There is a bridge in downtown Austin that houses the largest urban bat colony in the world. You can stand on the bridge at dusk and watch bats fly out from under it for over an hour.

Alix copying her mom
You'll have to ask Sarah what she was doing here.

We decided to tube down the river, but since it wasn't moving we really swam down it.
Maddie looks cute in her new glasses.

Fun with Auntie Sarah:

Sarah loves her nieces (and they love her)

Kami's Wedding

I flew to Utah with Witnie for a couple days to go to my best friend Kami's wedding. It was a wonderful wedding and a wonderful vacation. I didn't take very many pictures though.
It was fun to see so many old (I guess long time is a better term) friends.
Kami with my parents.
Levi playing with Witnie
Kami was Levi's orchestra teacher, so he played at the wedding reception with the orchestra.
