Renaissance Festival

We went to the Renaissance Festival yesterday and it was awesome. The whole thing is held in a real built village. There are hundreds of shops and eating places, around 30 different shows and demonstrations as well as games and rides. The weekends are themed and we went on the Fairy weekend. We got there at 8:30 in the morning and left at 8:30 in the evening.

The girls and I all dressed up (at least the first couple hours).

Maddie always manages to fing some sort of wildlife.

This man is swallowing a sword. He also juggled and did other tricks with the rest of his family.

This is a knight and his lady at a competition.

We got to ride an elephant!
This is an owl during the Birds of Prey show.
The fire and whip show.
This was a fun show where a guy made all the kids go up on stage and he trained them as his soldiers. Then they went up at the end of the show to help him fight his enemy. The kids loved it, even though they look a little nervous.

Taking a rest right before the firework finally.
If anyone is interested in visiting, you should come in Oct or Nov and go to this festival.
