On Friday since it was spring break my friend and I took the kids to Brazos Bend.
The weather was perfect for basking alligators and we saw a lot of big ones.

We also saw a nest of babies.

Maddie and Brooklyn looking at a small one.

Here are the older 4 hiking,

and taking a break.

This is a tiny baby red-eared slider

Witnie and her boyfriend Luke. He is about 3 weeks older and weighs as much as Sydnie.

Say cheese!

This is an awesome invention Mark and I (mostly I) made up.
Saute red onions and garlic in oil
Mix with italian grated cheese, chopped tomatoes, and chopped avacado
Mix in enough mayo to make it stick together
Spread on sour dough (or any sort of baguette) bread and broil until melted

I guess she was tired.

The kids have all had colds and Sydnie has an ear infection, so this was our Sunday afternoon.

Looks like a fun hike! besides all the alligators maybe ;) your food looks tasty i wish i could make up food like that but if i don't stick to a recipe it usually doesn't turn out...
Yes, it looked good enough to eat! Email mom the recipe. That looked like the place we went hiking with the gators? The big one was impressive. That last picture of the kids looked like death and destruction hit the living room!
The sleeping picture is definitely my favorite. I miss the girls and am excited to see them this summer.
The last picture is my favorite. That is pretty funny...afterwords of course.
I thought Luke was EmaLia at first glance. A bit chubbier but take a look.
